SNEAKER PIMPS NYC RECAP!

It was cold outside, but even colder inside! So many kicks! So many fiends! Our spot ending up being a dead end but no worries because FETTi went out and about into the crowd handing out our flyers and networking with the many other fiends, companies, and on the come ups! Hosted by our girl Vashtie and Dave Jeff, there were hot performances by Currensy, Phli Ade, Diggy Simmons, & Rick Ross! Take a look at the video, then the PICS!

AJ2 Retro - VASHTIE KOLA!!!

Still on a high from this past weekend's Sister 2 Sister event in Boston, I was very happy to see that female designer/video director/artist Vashtie Kola was called upon for the Jordan Holiday 2010 Girls collection to create a pair just for us that will have guys in awe! It is a limited-edition with lavender and deep-purple on the upper, along with metallic lavender laces and midsole! NICE!!! Look for these next month along with the AJ2 Retro "Candy" pack.

Behind the Scenes @ the NIKE Destroyer Shoot

"On a cold and rainy December day in New York City, a small and eclectic group of people gathered together to take part in a photoshoot for the NIKE Destroyer Project.
The shoot highlights this group as the 'new school' of folks who contribute to the ever-changing landscape of New York, represented by each of them wearing the special black edition Destroyer Varsity."

The group includes: Jack Greer, Aaron Bobrow, Simonez Wolf, Brandee Brown, Lucien Smith, Ricky Saiz, Chris Shonting, Jake Sumner, Kevin Kearney, Scott Campbell, Dee & Ricky, Vashtie, Curtis Kulig and Tim Brodhagen

Photographed by Kai Regan, video by Vashtie. If you're not in the know, get there. Vashtie is an artist, filmmaker and designer. Remember that dope video for US Placers a couple years back? Yup, all her. FSF interviewed her a while back, so learn more about her and her love of kicks here.

In NYC, Janine caught up with videographer, event planner and streetwear designer Va$htie Kola. Read more about how kicks influence her work, her much-anticipated upcoming clothing line (Violette), and what's coming down the pike from "Downtown's $weetheart".

Summer of '92 Block Party

Vashtie (event co-hostess) killing some black and cement AJ 3s w/ a Jordan tee to match.
The crowd out on Orchard St. @ Rivington St. Non-Locals: Orchard is closed every Sunday until 6pm to allow stores sidewalk sale space and a variety of events.
Some summer kicks from 2 local ladies. The multi-colored Nike's are crazy bold!
What would a block party be without CHALK DRAWINGS!!! Don't know about you, but chalk brings out my inner artist (even though I CAN'T draw) = /
