SNKRBST EVENT RECAP

Sunday, May 19th was the launch of SNKRBST national sneaker show.  Many were in attendance and if the rest of the events are anything like what I witnessed, great things are to come!  Hosted by radio personality Angela Yee, the event took place at Stage 48 in NYC with vendors, performers Joe Budden and legendary rappers Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap.  Female sneaker fiends were scarce but those that were there represented!

Larry Johnson x Packers Shoes Event Recap

Loved the display for the event. Nice use of the "Fila" font style on the Packers logo

THE AIR MAX LEBRON VIII

Ok I jumped on the bandwagon a little late! Initially when I saw the Nike Air Max Lebron VIII I wasn't impressed and kinda upset about the follow up to the VII. I wasn't thrilled about the paneling of flywire and leather/suede. After seeing the Hardwood Classic (HWC) from the Sneaker Pimps Tour in Chicago my Lebron light switched back on! This weekend to celebrate the grand opening of a new HOUSE OF HOOPS in Miami at the Dadeland Mall, the highly anticipated SOUTH BEACH/MIAMI VICE/PRE HEAT edition drops and I MUST HAVE THESE!!! The AMLB VIII features a 360 Air Max cushion bubble all along the outsole which is great for a New Yorker like myself who walks alot. There is in fact less flywire which is only along the rear of the shoe as opposed to the VII which dominated the upper. On the tongue there is the mighty Lebron Lion, or for the CHINA edition, a traditional dragon mask. The rest is either full grain leather or nubuck suede throughout the upper. Clyde Event at Michael K in SOHO

Hey Guys, so yesterday with the great weather in NYC I decided to take a detour from going home in Queens and headed down to SOHO to Michael K for the Walter "Cyde" Frazier Event. SOHO on a Friday X Nice Weather = CROWDED! But it was worth it. I got to shake hands with a legend, listen to dope beats by DJ MONI, see hot kicks...what better way to start the weekend!

First I got there and the "Clyde Girls" were outside dragging heads off the street in the store. These girls had the 70s PUMA look going on!



So you know I sneaked in there and grabbed a shot with them! Reppin FSF!

I chilled and mingled for about an hour or so. Took some pics at the PUMA photo booth holding the GIANT CLYDE SNEAKER! (That I actually got Mr. Frazier to sign himself!!!)





He was a very nice man, and it was a honor to meet him and tell him how much I loved the Clydes, and even though I'm a youngin...lol...I heard my Dad's stories of him! I got an autographed poster as well that is going up on the wall.



He came to the event in his Rolls Royce...I heard he collects cars and this is one of them:



So I came, I saw, and bombed the girls in the spot with FSF flyers!

Also Mr. Frazier is the NY Knicks commentator now so you can hear him at every Knicks Game!

And you know he was rocking some orange Clydes which I got a quick shot of as he was signing autographs! Don't you love em Lori? LOL
