Swap! Not Shop! is Homeygrown's Biannual Clothing Exchange in Oakland, CA. This event counteracts the disposable nature of consumerism by providing the time and place for shopping renegades to recycle clothes and other reusable items. Bring a bag of gently-used, clean items, and dig in other people's trash to find your newest treasure. Rethink that trip to the shop and instead, swap with Homeygrown!

Melbourne's Girls Got Kicks Photoshoot!

Cheech Sanchez went to work yesterday doing the first international sneaker shoot for FSF's upcoming GIRLS GOT KICKS book. She held it down with over 40 female sneaker fiends at Sneaker Freaker's "World's Best Swap Meet 2" in Melbourne, Australia. Thanks Cheech and all of our fly sneaker-clad subjects! (And thanks to Amy Curtis for the behind the scenes pics!) Here are just a few shots to give you the flavor of the day...
