Jordan 1 Doernbecher 2008
This year, 16-year-old Tony Taylor Jr. aka Mr. Boober, a Nephrotic Syndrome and a kidney transplant survivor, got the chance to design his very own Air Jordan 1 sneaker. Last year a 16-year-old design some Jordan 2. Mr. Boober's design is 1 of 4 that will release on November 14th.
The black/blue color scheme represents his success with the battle against kidney disease, while the contrasting yellow and number 15 honor his favorite player, Carmelo Anthony. Below the number 15 is the date he received his kidney transplant and below that are four stars which represent his high school’s mascot, the Generals. The palm trees along the midsole resemble the Bahamas.

The Iceman's Blazers
Alright, who here remembers George "The Iceman" Gervin? This San Antonio Spurs star is not only a Hall of Famer, but a smooooooth operator in the old school finger-roll sense of the word. He was full of style coming out of the ABA, and was one of the players to liven up the NBA as well. Now Nike is honoring him with the very kicks he wore when they first came out: Blazers. These beautiful metallic-silver Blazers are only dropping at Footlocker's House of Hoops, and there are only 24 pairs. I can't imagine any of them are small....bummer!

Where are you Yeezy?: These two new shirts are made to go with the Air Yeezy in the Black/White & Grey/Black/Infra-Red. The shirt features an image of Yeezy himself and includes the lyrics to flashing lights in the background and asks the question at the end, "Where are you Yeezy"? When are the shoes gonna drop anyway? That's the question (now that he's been arrested are they gonna drop?)!!
The cost is a reasonable $13.99 for S - XL and $14.99 for 2XL & 3XL (as usual) and expect other colorways to drop after the sneakers release. FETTi honors the fallen...
Evening ladies! Last night I went to Label Lounge in NYC with my team from SoleFood NYC www.solefoodnyc.com for a special evening of reflection for September 11th. We were invited by designer Shoichi Amemiya of SABIT www.sabitnyc.com and he asked for a special pair of kicks to honor those who sacrificed for us on 9/11. Rightly I obliged and created this pair which had everyone quiet. I would like to thank all the men and women who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 battling to rescue the victims trapped in the World Trade Center. Whether or not if it was a government conspiracy, thousands lost their lives and left behind family and friends who will forever be in mourning for them!
