Upper Playground x Grotesk x HAITI

We all know the first few days after the earthquake in Haiti it dominated the news and our thoughts. Even as the news has moved on, the important work continues in terms of supporting Haitians who are working to rebuild their lives and their country. To that end, Upper Playground has just released a new t-shirt design by artist Grotesk. All proceeds will be going to the Yéle Haiti Foundation.

*About Yéle Haiti*
Yéle Haiti is a foundation started by Grammy-Award winning musician, producer and social entrepreneur Wyclef Jean that is changing lives in this desperately poor but optimistic nation. Through Yéle Haiti, Wyclef uses music, sports and the media to reinforce projects that are making a difference in education, health, environment and community development.

New artist tees at Upper Playground

The May Upper Playground's artist series tees are here. With designs featuring the artwork of Munk One, Saelee Oh, Craola, Saber, Alex Pardee, Adnauseum and Denis Kennedy -- there is definitely something to suit all tastes. The graphics cover topics from music, film and vaudeville, to the animal kingdom and creepy critters. Jeremy Fish, Sam Flores and Estevan Oriol also bring new styles to their superFishal, Twelve Grain and Estevan Oriol lines, respectively. The new collection is available at all Upper Playground retail stores and online at the Upper Playground web store. Here is another of my quirky favorites...

Upper Playground Turns 10!

To celebrate its 10th Anniversary,Upper Playground is re-releasing 10 of their all-time most popular graphic tees. These guys (and gals) were making cool shirts and working with great artists before "streetwear" was even a word. The artists included in this series are a “Who’s Who” of some of Upper Playground’s best, including David Choe, Denis Kennedy, Sam Flores, Jeremy Fish (shout out to the Silly Pink Bunnies!) and Dora Drimalas. Wearing one of these tees is like wearing a piece of UP history. The 10-Year “Best Of” collection is available at all Upper Playground retail stores and online at the Upper Playground web store. Here are a few of my favorites... (Also available in men's tees if you prefer.)
