Sneaker Savage!

Well it's way past 6pm and I'm writing this, so thankfully the world ending today was a falsehood. However, today was special in sneaker culture because SNEAKER SAVAGE happened! Sneaker Savage is the 1st sneaker show in Westchester, NY which has lots of potential to grow in this untapped market! Put together by @mrsneakersavage, it was a day of checking out kicks & apparel from Westchester sneaker lovers and businesses such as 2nd Nature, the only skate shop in Westchester with a full Nike SB account! Being the 1st event of its kind had its downside too..the turnout wasn't as great as expected, but people did show up, which is what mattered! Mr. Savage wants to do more planning for another show sometime this fall, so keep your eyes & ears open for the next show! Check out MORE PICS.

Come join Younity and friends for some hip-hop style community building! Fostering local economies for urban "artrepreneurs" with a conscious mindset, it’s time for Younity’s 2nd annual Urban Arts Markit!

Curated by the infamous Toofly and homegirl Yvey Hidalgo, this open air markit pays homage to market life around the globe as a staple of community life and celebration, where makers, fans, and collectors come to shop and mingle - 2010 style.

Featuring live DJ sets, live painting, break dancers, vendors, Hondurian Valiadas, Empanadas, & American hot dogs, even an art session for the lil ones! Click on the image for all the juicy details...

Mykim Dang Board Show

Talented upcoming Boston-based street artist and board designer Mykim Dang has a big show in NYC on March 5th-19th (Opening Reception on the 5th). If you're near the city, don't miss her or her boards! 50% of all sales goes to Stoked Mentoring, a nonprofit action sports organization for youth. Check them out too!

The show is at 303 Grand in Williamsburg.
