Quit with the double standard already!!

I meant to address this before but it's getting too out of hand, so I have to say something. I'm so over some of you ignorant guys and gals with this whole "if you wear sneakers over the age of 18 you're not a lady" mentality! I mean really, is this not 2011?! Now I expect that weak mentality to come from a weak ass dude but to come from another female? Girl boom let me sock it to you, wearing heels does not make you a lady, taking care of your responsibilities does. Women who work 40 or more hours a week, pay bills, and take care of their family are REAL WOMEN and wearing heels has nothing to do with it! You folks really need to get over this whole sneakers equal immaturity crap! Cause I have met a whole lot of women and men in my life who rock "mature" footwear but do some really immature things. Just because I have a vagina and I'm over 18 doesn't mean I need to only be wearing heels. I'm gonna wear what the hell I like and that happens to be kicks! And that doesn't make me any less of a lady than Michelle Obama! So while you naysayers are being immature with your "grown" footwear, my mature sneaker loving self will remain fly and always a lady!

I'm so with you. I smile big when people tell me I shouldn't be wearing kicks still because I'm 34... It doesn't bother me one bit because I know they pray to be as fly as me at age 34 and beyond! Yeah just like that! Still it needed to be said CHEERS as Lori would say!!! Haters gonna hate.... it's what they do *shrug*

A$! You couldn't have said it any better! As a female sneaker fiend, customizer, grown ass LADY, I am on the go doing so much that I can't do heels all day everyday..sneakers are the best thing invented ever! And its not about outgrowing them either! If they are a go for you, GO HEAD! I know I will still rock kicks til my demise! Not changing who I am & what I love for anyone!

Real talk, A!

Since when has being smart about your foot health been an immature thing? I'm not trying to teeter around in heels 24/7 to end up with gnarly toes or foot problems when I'm a senior! I work in a professional workplace but I even manage to get away with rocking subtle kicks. I'm on my feet a lot so it's just the smart thing to do.

Comfort, flyness and healthy feet till death! FSF!

I couldn't of said it better myself. Since when did they way you dress determine what kind of person you are? I hate when people give me that look like "Oh your how old?" I'm 25 and when I dress in street wear and my soles people always think I am like 19 0r 20 and immediately think I am immature. When in reality I have my degree in primary education and a 45k salary. You should never ever judge a book by its cover.
