Today is International Transgender Day of Remembrance

Some of the youth I work with are going to a vigil for Rita Hester, who was brutally killed in Boston ten years ago for being a transgendered woman. I can't go, because I have a work event tonight. They asked me what I was going to do to honor the Day of Remembrance. So I'm posting this to honor the day and the youth who teach and inspire me everyday. If you'd like more information about events today or the issue in general, check out http://www.transgenderdor.org
