Caster Semenya's Nikes

She runs too fast. She's too strong. She don't look right. Why don't we just go ahead and call her a nappy-headed-ho? Or better yet, nappy-headed he? All of us who know oh-so-much about her...
All I know is that she's a hella strong looking athlete, she's only 18, and she's wearing some nice Nike spikes. So I'd like to see Nike step to the plate like they did when the Rutgers basketball team were disrespected and smeared with white radio host Don Imus' ignorance. C'mon Nike. I loved it when you came out with a full page ad standing against racism and for those strong young women. Here's another strong young woman; tell the world you stand by this athlete whose dignity, personal business and most private of parts are being very publicly disrespected. Tell them she ran a personal best and won the gold for South Africa because of your Nikes or because of her effort, but stand up.

For those of you who haven't been up on the Caster Semenya gender story, read this piece on ESPN's page 2.
