Nike Spray Paint Pack

I haven't seen these in the "flesh", but the photos look great! Taking three of my current favorite Nike sillhouettes--the Vandal low, the Air Dig, and the Court Force--adding great Spring colorways, and figuring out how to make it look like spray paint.... nicely done, Nike! A peek inside the Westchester Nike Store

Tools of the trade for an in-store Nike iD studio for sneakers. Pictured: materials, samples, and inspiration abound. The staff is friendly and they even offer private iD sessions for you or your group.

The t-shirt iD studio is the option that sets this Nike store apart from the others. Allowing you to create that perfect tee to rock with your 1 of 1 iD kicks or even a new pickup makes this shop a destination for locals looking for something different and the 'head looking to snap necks. Nike has gone so fas as to make sure that the colors on the tees are as accurate as possible to the sneaker colorways, so your obsidian and medium grey tee is the same body and feet.

The GameChangers space allows the inner athlete, local sporting events, and in-store happenings to be broadcast. During my visit, they were promoting a Sneaker Lab event, the Nike Run Club, and the new iD studio options. The Sneaker Lab is also a Westchester exclusive. This program brings athletes, sneakerheads, coaches, etc together with the public and they talk about what they do, display new equipment/technology, or just share a common passion.

Fee dubbed this the "message" wall and the current theme is BEAT. Some personal faves off it were: Beat the system, polltution, and conformity!

Puma City comes to Boston!

What is the Volvo Ocean Race? And why should sneaker fiends care? Well, the thread that binds the sneaker and ocean racing worlds is an iconic red PUMA fiber of carbon steel. I had the good fortune of learning a lot about this crazy world of life-and-death, faster-than-fast sailing at a Puma City event today. Boston is the only North American port in the 9 month, 37,000 mile race, so a motley crew of online media--sneakerheads, fashionistas, sailing afficionados and more--got a real treat. Here are some images from Puma City, the race, and some sneak peeks of Puma product for those of you who came here to see sneakers =)

Nike Air Digs. This my first time seeing Air Digs, but they are pretty dope!! They were originally released in '91. NIKE is the business!!! They retail for $78. Not sure where you can purchases them at yet. If you have lil shops in your hood (not footlocker) ask about them.

9th Wonder does Puma

One of my favorite producers, 9th Wonder, is getting down with Puma for a sneaker collab of his own. If you don't know about 9th then I suggest you go to imeem and look up Little Brother or better yet ask Beyonce, Erykah Badu, Mos Def or the Justus League. Details on these are the 919 Raleigh area code, Justus League on the side of the shoe, wonder bread signature colors, and a translucent sole. The details are definitely on point and represent 9th wonder to the tee. I hope he makes me proud and releases these in small sizes. So far no word on its release.

Ever since the M.I.S.S. crew feature was put up on Empire Isis, I couldn't stop listening to her. My favorite song from has got to be "Get up on it". The song meaning is if you're about goals, stick to them, don't hang around people who aren't about anything; they will just bring you down. Ain't that the truth!!! That's why this song gets serious play on my ipod.

Is this really a good deed?

The Nike sneakers bore former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan's iconic number 23. They had the signature swoosh and the famous silhouette of a Jordan dunk on their tongue.

There's a secret about them, though, if you lean closer and promise to keep a tight lip.

Don't tell anyone, but they're knockoffs, fakes seized last year by Easton police during a raid on a business dealing counterfeit goods.

On Wednesday, that didn't matter to youths who scrambled to find their sizes as parents and officials from local Boys and Girls and other youth clubs looked on in a hall of the Northampton County Courthouse.

''It's good what they're doing,'' said Kasson Thomas,14, who attends Easton Area High School and plays basketball for the Boys and Girls Club of Easton. The shoes are ''looking better than the real ones.''

Morganelli announced the kickoff of the Sneakers for Kids Program, which will pair youths in after-school and other programs with what look to all intents and purposes like real deal Nikes.

It was the arrest of Jonathan K. Washington Jr., 34, for selling counterfeits at Bling Bling Fashions on Northampton Street in Easton that prompted the idea, Morganelli said.

As part of a plea bargain, Washington agreed to forfeit all of his shoes, in exchange for the charges being dropped, according to court records. Washington also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for selling counterfeit CDs and DVDs in 2005. He received a $300 fine and six months of probation on that charge, with those items ordered destroyed.

When the deal was in front of Judge Stephen Baratta in February, he complained it was a shame the sneakers would also be tossed, Morganelli said. That culminated in an order by Baratta on Monday that the shoes be donated to nonprofit organizations.

''We had a choice between destroying all these shoes or giving them to kidsÂ…whose families perhaps couldn't afford to buy them,'' Morganelli said.

Many details of the program have yet to be worked out. Beyond Boys and Girls clubs, groups such as The Children's Home of Easton, the Bethlehem Housing Authority and the Salvation Army of Allentown are also involved.

The Boys and Girls Club of Easton is managing efforts. Initially, kids are signing up from the Lehigh Valley Teen Basketball League, which involves 10 teams of potentially at-risk teens from the various organizations.

Pairs of shoes will also be awarded during youth basketball contests that are being planned later this year, said Dean Young, the executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of Easton.

Linda Mitchell watched as her 11-year-old son Hassan Greenfield picked out a pair of black and red Nikes. He has been playing basketball since he was 5 -- a lot of pairs of shoes to go through, she said.

''They look nice,'' said Hassan, a sixth-grader at Easton Area Middle School who was headed to a game Wednesday after classes.

Sneakers can be a status symbol, sometimes leading to theft if they're unaffordable, officials said. But will fake shoes erase the temptation?

Young said they will, especially with kids who often deal with stigma, and learn how to brush it aside.

After all, he said, no one has to go out and advertise that they're wearing fakes.

Clyde Event at Michael K in SOHO

Hey Guys, so yesterday with the great weather in NYC I decided to take a detour from going home in Queens and headed down to SOHO to Michael K for the Walter "Cyde" Frazier Event. SOHO on a Friday X Nice Weather = CROWDED! But it was worth it. I got to shake hands with a legend, listen to dope beats by DJ MONI, see hot kicks...what better way to start the weekend!

First I got there and the "Clyde Girls" were outside dragging heads off the street in the store. These girls had the 70s PUMA look going on!



So you know I sneaked in there and grabbed a shot with them! Reppin FSF!

I chilled and mingled for about an hour or so. Took some pics at the PUMA photo booth holding the GIANT CLYDE SNEAKER! (That I actually got Mr. Frazier to sign himself!!!)





He was a very nice man, and it was a honor to meet him and tell him how much I loved the Clydes, and even though I'm a youngin...lol...I heard my Dad's stories of him! I got an autographed poster as well that is going up on the wall.



He came to the event in his Rolls Royce...I heard he collects cars and this is one of them:



So I came, I saw, and bombed the girls in the spot with FSF flyers!

Also Mr. Frazier is the NY Knicks commentator now so you can hear him at every Knicks Game!

And you know he was rocking some orange Clydes which I got a quick shot of as he was signing autographs! Don't you love em Lori? LOL

Reebok has teamed up with designer Rolland Perry to create an interesting collection that includes bold patterns, floral designs and bright colors. Reebok also decided to jump on the slim bandwagon by using the NPC, aka the Strapstick silhouette. To me it looks as if someone was tripping on acid while designing this collection. It's 6.0- Hype Verde Rave pink blazers

Nike is really pushing this whole 6.0 line, and I am not really a fan.  But these I'm feeling a little sideways on. I'm a sucker for animal print especially zebra print as well as the color green, but these just seem a little unfinished to me. If they would have made the sole dark and chose green or zebra print in the front I might consider liking it. But if you like how they look, you can buy these from Sucream USA on ebay or your local sneaker spot.

Reppin' the Weapon...since 86!

Well, it's that time again... let's see, the Celtics and Lakers are moving towards another showdown (hope hope!), and the men's Final Four this week had all sorts of pub for the 30th anniversary of the '79 battle between Larry and Magic, (I mean Indiana State and Michigan State!). That game really put the NCAA Championship on the map, but I got into the mix a little later, watching their amazing rivalry in the NBA during the 80s. Living in Massachusetts, of course I was and still am a Celtics fan. Go Celts! Now I'm gonna be reppin' them with my new Weapons... Thanks Converse, for bringing back the memories!

No more Fusions!!!!!

Ok seriously stop!!! Enough is enough!!! This has got to be one of the most ugliest fusions I have ever seen to date. I have never been a big fan for this whole fusion trend.
